Minimalism : A Lifestyle
I am happy to share Card No. 20 on Minimalism:
Minimalism is when you use minimum essentials to create the maximum impact. In other words, it’s a situation when less is more. Two areas you need to work on are :
Simplicity: The joy of owning more and more is gradually fading. Simplifying meals, simplifying wardrobe and simplifying travel are just some examples. Try to buy less things and choose quality over quantity, focus more on the experiences rather than on things. Most importantly, do all this naturally rather than forcing yourself. In other words, voluntary simplicity is what you need to work on. It includes elimination of toxic relationships, long travels, massive spending, and unsatisfying roles etc.
Authenticity: One of the most important aspect is to stay authentic as you practice minimalism lifestyle. The definition of clutter varies from person to person. Ask yourself the question: What does decluttering mean to me?. Find the answer, and you are a step closer to become an authentic minimalist.
