SpeakIn and HDFC ERGO Partner to Create a Living Reality of #LoveAll
SpeakIn, the largest digital learning platform in Asia, in partnership with HDFC Ergo unveiled the 12th edition of the TCS Asia Dialogues presented by SpeakIn in Mumbai. This flagship series hosts forward-thinking conversations addressing vital topics for Asian businesses, governments, media, and academia. Previous editions of Asia Dialogues have explored the importance of sustainability, cybersecurity, seizing opportunities, economic growth, and the future of work, among other subjects.
With the theme, “Love ALL” this edition was held in Mumbai on 19th March 2024 and was an initiative to harness the diversity of the nation with one language – one understood by every citizen of the country hinged on the meta-emotion of love. This thought leadership and networking series brought together DEI experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and visionaries to shed light on the criticality of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and strategies for making spaces more accessible for all.
DEI isn’t merely an item on the agenda or a checkbox—it’s vital for innovation, resilience, and sustainable success. The event highlighted key strategies for fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace by valuing diverse perspectives and ensuring equal opportunities. It emphasized embracing intersectionality, acknowledging diverse identities ranging from disability to LGBTQ+ representation and various political beliefs. Discussions revolved around overcoming distinctive challenges encountered by these groups through the implementation of supportive policies and the establishment of an inclusive environment. Priority was given to building safe spaces where employees could freely express their authentic selves without the fear of discrimination. Additionally, the event stressed the importance of driving tangible change, emphasizing the need for accountability and measurable goals to monitor progress toward creating an equitable workplace.
The event featured a line-up of esteemed speakers and influential thought leaders to ensure effective communication of this message. The entirety of the day saw multiple panel discussions like, “Open Minds to Open Hearts” with distinguished speakers including Deepshikha Kumar – Founder & CEO, SpeakIn, Surbhi Gupta, Chief Talent Officer – South Asia, Publicis Groupe, Sylvester Rodgers – Hairstylist & Makeup Artist, Srikanth Bolla – Founder, Bollant Industries, Shweta Shalini, Politician, Bhooshan Malkani – Director – HR, Viacom18. While the speakers ensured robust discussions, each contributing valuable insights and initiatives on ways to achieve a more diverse and inclusive workplace and everyday life, the event also threw light on delving into our human biases and addressing them effectively. The keynote talk by Jyoti Narang – Chairperson, Heidelberg Cement India centred on the topic, “It’s Time to Lead The Change” is a testament to the notion that change must start from within individuals to manifest it in their workplaces. Under the leadership of HDFC Ergo and Sudakshina Bhattacharya, President & Chief Human Resources Officer, efforts are directed towards creating a world where every individual is celebrated and valued. Felicitating 20 awardees in the spirit of Love All, Anuj Tyagi – Joint Managing Director, HDFC Ergo elucidated upon fostering a “Culture of Care” within communities and organizations, ensuring that the event is not just a name and shared idea but a lived and loved reality for ALL.
