Graduated from IIM-Calcutta in 1983 and joined the automobile industry when it was at a nascent stage in India, Arun has been an integral part of the growth story of the automobile industry having worked with Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Nissan India in the last 3 decades. His last assignment was as MD in Nissan India. Arun has been deeply involved in areas of brand building, strategic marketing, retail network expansion and development, training, rural marketing, customer-centric initiatives, and formulating group-level strategies. Has successfully led many new product launches in the auto industry. Presently, he is a visiting faculty at IIM-Kolkata. His career in the field of Sales and Marketing has made him travel through the length and breadth of India. Arun has attended Executive Management programs in Kellogs School of Management, Chicago (2009) and Harvard Business School, Boston (2011). A sought-after keynote speaker at management forums, he is known for his expertise and knowledge of the auto industry. Arun has partaken in several panel discussions for CNBC, CNBC Awaaz, ET Now, NDTV, ZEE News, and AajTak on topics related to business and industry. He is a speaker and Guest Faculty at renowned business schools like IIM-Bangalore, MDI Gurgaon, IIFT, IMI Delhi, FMS, and NMIMS to name a few.
