Aunindo Ghosh is a corporate citizen turned climate change practitioner and researcher. After spending 17 eventful years in pursuit of growth, scale, and profit as a product professional with multi-national corporations and startups, he finally decided to quit the corporate world and follow his calling for climate action. Starting out as a co-founder of Alaap, a non-profit organisation dedicated to reforesting degraded landscapes of the Himalayan region, he went on to be a Climate Action fellow at Bhoomi Network, focusing on rejuvenating degraded lakes in Bengaluru and exploring issues around Bangalore’s depleting water-table and effects of chemical agriculture on the farmers of Karnataka.

Aunindo has studied Ecological Economics and Environmental Justice at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain. He also has an MBA from SPJIMR, Mumbai, and an engineering degree from Jadavpur University. He is a member of the Rethinking Economics India Network with a focus on the economics of climate change and is also a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE).
