PERSONAL

I am married and a proud father of 3 children.  I focus on teaching my children a strong work ethic and involving them in community service.  I come from a very close family and focus on keeping my children aware of their family roots and values by running an annual reunion for 200 family members and maintaining an in-depth family tree dating back to the 1700’s.  I believe in working in an organization with that same closeness and compassion for each employee, while holding the employees to accountability and to the company values.  I played competitive sports throughout my childhood and in college and learned the meaning of teamwork, leadership and setting goals for success.  My innate sales skills combined with a background in Psychology, teaching, and leadership has helped me tailor training modules for companies as well as retailers.  This unique skill set has also helped me to lead organizations and run multiple departments successfully.  I believe all of my personal and professional attributes will help successfully guide and lead any team I am associated with.

I worked with General Motors, Toyota & Saturn early in my career which gave me the knowledge & expertise to work with and run some of the largest furniture manufacturers worldwide. I focus on Market Trends & how to sell today’s retail population, specializing in the Millennial & Gen Z populations. Below outlines highlights from my past 30 years of experience:

Executive Management: I currently am President / CEO of Master Motion Studio 54 (jiashan greata furniture co ltd) and have held Executive Management roles since the early 1990’s.  My business experience along with my educational experience allows me to work with companies to help them with their business goals as well as educational goals for any organization.

Designer: I am able to design a product from the fashion industry and trickle the current fashions to our target market of GenX/Millennial women between the ages of 20-50; as well as making products for Gen Z populations as well.  Following fashion trends of the current populations and being able to adjust products and marketing for the current market.

Strategic Planning: Authored strategies for growth management, turnaround, and product development. Working with Top 100 retailers to develop product with overseas factories in Italy, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and China. I also specialize in market trend analysis and adjusting planning and development to be in-tune with the target retail population.

Growth Performance: Developed territories to $35 million in revenue growth to managing over 125 million in sales, despite shrinking price points during an economic recession. Worked with Top 100 retailers to find motion products to promote with the growing plasma TV sales through the slow periods of the economic downturn.

Profit Enhancement: Cut costs by implementing training seminars tailored for warehouse and customer service associates on how to prevent damages and deal with customer questions regarding manufacturing defects and normal wear of furniture, which prevented unnecessary return of product.  Saving companies money on their back-end procedures.

Human Resources: Managed customer service overseas in Italy and China setting up procedures to help the communication flow from the factory to the customer. Led integration of marketing, sales, and product development on a global scale. Noted for organizational cultures, exceptional teambuilding, motivational, and leadership skills.

Manufacturing:  I was a tier 2 supplier to General Motors.  We made the plastic parts that were used for all General Motors cars.  We also manufactured for both Saturn and Toyota.  I have also worked with manufacturing operations in Asia, Europe, and the United States, and with Top 100 retailers on product development and worked with the R&D, design and production departments to have samples ready for customers to review at the factory while improving efficiency and quality.

Skill Set: My experience in sales combined with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Education has helped me develop and implement training and company directives.  My MBA in Leadership/International Business has also given me a unique skill set.  I use these skills to help develop teamwork while ensuring productivity and efficiency within the organization while making sure that procedures are followed through to completion.  A unique set of skills…for today’s unique changing economy.
