Harsh Rajpal is the Partner at Capital Code www.capital-code.com, a bespoke advisory and investment firm, focused on food & agribusiness sector. Harsh was briefly a Director at Rippledot Capital Advisors (2017-2018). Previously Mr. Rajpal served as the Head, Strategic Investments and Business Development at Olam International (2010-May 2017), a leading global integrated supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients. In his role, Mr. Rajpal was involved in mergers and acquisitions, organic investments, JV and business alliances, both at the business unit and corporate level. Previously, he worked at Macquarie Capital May 2006 to August 2009 as part of the Investment Banking Division. Until now, Mr. Rajpal has led and managed 20+ transactions and strategic projects across 10 countries (SEA, India, Russia, ANZ, US, and Africa). He has also developed deep expertise in the food and agriculture space having worked globally across the value chain. In particular, he has done multiple projects in Dairy, Grains, Animal Feed, Proteins, Palm, Rubber, Edible Nuts, Spices, Seasonings, Condiments, Cocoa, Coffee, Malt, chocolate product verticals. He is also experienced across variety of transaction structures (100% buyout and sale, 50:50 and 75:25 JV, minority investments, business alliances; growth stage as well as distressed and bankrupt opportunities; deal size ranging from $10m - $15bn) as well as Greenfield projects selectively.

 

Further, Harsh has recently done a lot of work around digital and tech enabled developments across the food chain (agtech, food tech, farm mechanization, alternative food and alternative protein forms, AI and machine learning to reduce food loss, natural and plant based food ingredients, farm management and agri supply chain digital platforms)
