Mark Colbourne MBE is a public speaker and former Paralympic and world cycling champion. He won Gold at the London 2012 Paralympic Games after transitioning to para-cycling following a life-changing injury. In May 2009, Mark survived a paragliding crash that resulted in a broken back and temporary paralysis from the waist down. After six months in the hospital, he focused on rehabilitation and adapting to a new path in life Within three years, he became a world track cycling champion, a double world record holder, and a Paralympic gold medalist. His achievements in sport led to him being awarded the MBE by King Charles III for his contributions to cycling.
