Academically meritorious, Gold Medallist received training at Harvard Business School, Prof Joshi is the Chairperson, Research, with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), spearheading institute’s research activities. has published books from Oxford University Press. He has extensive trans-national exposure and has been associated with several multilateral organizations, such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNCTAD, Asian Productivity Organisation (APO), International Dairy Federation (IDF),  etc.

He is consistently engaged research, training programmes, teaching, and consultancy in several countries including the US, China, Russia, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, UAE, Singapore, Egypt, Hong Kong, Thailand, Tanzania, Oman, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Turkey, Rwanda, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Mauritius, Seychelles, Niger, Cambodia, Philippines etc.

In addition to several international assignments, Prof. Joshi has been the Chief Resource Person for conducting Training Courses on "International Trade in Agricultural and Food Products" for Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Japan for participants based in several Asian countries including Cambodia, Fiji, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Islamic Republic of Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Republic of China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Prof. Joshi has been involved in conducting Training Programmes for corporate executives, government officials and diplomats including customised programmes for IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service), ITS (Indian Trade Service), IES (Indian Economic Service), ISS (Indian Statistical Service) officers and foreign diplomats in India and several foreign countries.

He is also the Chairman of the ‘UGC Committee for Framing the Regulations for Foreign Educational Institutes’ Entry and Operations’ in India and Member of the UGC-Ministry of Education Expert Group to Implement New Education Policy 2020.

Prof. Joshi is the Visitor’s (the President of India) Nominee on the University Court, University of Delhi and at IIT, Kanpur and Central University of Jammu for various selection committees.

Prof. Joshi has strong inclination to research Internationalisation of Indian Culture and has been awarded a major research Project by on “Implications of Bhagwat Geeta in Contemporary Management: An Empirical Study” by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

He has been the recipient of International Awards by London Business School, London for the case studies written that were internationally published by European Case Clearing House (ECCH), London Business School and Oxford that also contributed to international recognition besides being used for training administrative officers and diplomats not only in India but also in several other parts of the world.

Prof. Joshi commands a high regard among management students, teaching fraternity and practicing managers alike for his scholarly writings and interactive and thought-provoking talks and class-room sessions.

He is one of the few highly sought-after management professors in the country as an expert, author and speaker in conferences, workshops, TV channels and several other national and international forums.
