Shweta Kothari is a seasoned journalist and media professor with over a decade of experience in broadcast and digital journalism. Currently Anchor & Senior Editor at News9 (TV9 Network), she also teaches postgraduate Journalism students at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Her career includes editorial roles at CNBC-TV18, NDTV, NewsX, The Logical Indian, and SEEN, where she led digital newsrooms and content teams. A political economy specialist, Shweta is also a public speaker and contributor to academic discourse on media. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Sussex. Shweta authored a chapter in India in 2050 on the future of news media and artificial intelligence. Her accolades include the 2024 NT Award for Best Business Show, the INMA Elevate Scholarship, and recognition in the '40 Under 40' list of top journalists. She continues to shape the future of journalism through reporting, teaching, and thought leadership.
