Bijender Vats is the Director - HR at MSD India, which is one of the largest US multinational
pharmaceuticals company. In his career spanning over two decades across reputed organizations like
Novartis and Dr Reddy’s Labs, he has worked on both the sides – Business and HR.
Bijender’s expertise ranges across managing Mergers & Acquisition scenarios, Organizational
Integration, HR Development & Transformation, Leadership Development, Culture Development &
Change Management, Talent Management to Succession Planning.
He is passionate about giving back to the society, the pearls of wisdom that he has garnered in his
professional journey. A thought leader who makes audience see through their ears, Bijender has
been associated with some of the prestigious B-Schools like NMIMS, Welingkars, IIHMR University
etc to name a few, in varying capacities from being an academic board member, visiting faculty to a
mentor. He is also a top notch speaker at several HR leadership forums.
His second passion is running. He hit the road in 2015 when he got diagnosed with diabetes. In last
three years, he has not only held his own diabetes by the horns but has also influenced others to
take up the cause of fitness. Apart from being an active runner himself (43 marathons till date), he is
also a brand ambassador for some of the leading marathon events in the country & is an official
pacer for 2 of the largest events in the country - Airtel Delhi Marathon & Tata Mumbai Marathon.
His contribution to various causes like HR community, teaching & running, has garnered him mass
