I have known Vijay for the past 11 years: our alliance begun when he did his summer project at my Store in Bandra in Shoppers Stop . Later on he joined my team in Operations in Crossword in the year 2005 as an Unit Head. His performance was remarkable during this period , especially his ability to manage the team & get the best out of them , by showing them the larger picture . Vijay rise was rapid In Crossword: enabled by his performance & on the basis of clearing the Assessment centre. Within two years he graduated to handle the Area Profile ( became the Area Manger ) reporting in to me ( I was Heading Operations & Marketing then ) & he did a commendable job during his tenure as Area Head. Vijay is an asset for any organization : he is focussed , has very good domain knowledge & a very good strategic perspective .Above all he is an excellent People's person & great Leader – Popular but effective.
