Paul Dupuis is the founder and CEO of Take-5 Global K.K., a consultancy firm that specializes in business advisory, leadership development, and M&A in Japan and India. Paul Dupuis is the founder and CEO of Take-5 Global K.K., a consultancy firm focused on business advisory, leadership development, and M&A in Japan and India. For more than twenty-five years, Paul has worked in several countries across Asia, helping leaders and their organizations grow and transform on a mission to be future-ready.
Prior to founding Take-5, Paul was CEO and chairman of Randstad Japan, where he led one of Randstad’s largest operating companies with 100 branches and 35,000 employees, helping it to achieve record profitability and exceptional revenue growth. Paul was also the head of Randstad India, where he led the remarkable turnaround of the company to become a leading player in the Indian market, and within Randstad globally. For his work, Paul was recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of India’s Best Leaders in Times of Crisis in 2021. He has also been actively involved in M&A I(buy and sell) across APAC. In addition to his practical experience, Paul has received management qualifications from INSEAD and London Business School.
In 2020, Paul authored his first book on leadership, The E5 Movement. The Japanese version, The 5 Golden Rules of Leadership, was published in 2023. Both the English and Japanese versions are best-sellers. He frequently appears in media and is a regular keynote speaker on topics related to leadership, transformation, motivation, turnaround strategy, India, Japan and the connection between sports and life skills.
Outside of his professional work, Paul is also a member of several boards, including T.Hasegawa (listed on the Tokyo Prime Stock Exchange) and HOPE International Sustainable Development Agency Japan. With HOPE International, he focuses on creating clean water projects and microcredit programs in Cambodia, Sudan, and the Philippines. Paul is also an active member of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives and the Japan Ice Hockey Federation. He volunteers in Ladakh in the Himalayas, traveling there every January to donate ice hockey equipment and coach the local children. He is a Guinness World Record holder after organizing and co-hosting the world's highest elevation ice hockey game in Ladakh (4,361m). Paul is on the faculty of GLOBIS University, teaching in the MBA program specializing in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. He is fully bilingual in English and Japanese.
