A senior academic professional with 29 years of experience in teaching and research. Considers himself to be a student of life and the guiding philosophy is that in order to be a good teacher, one would have to be a good and thorough student himself. His specializations include Political Theory and Political Philosophy, conceptualizing Indian and global politics and studying and theorizing Public Policy as a discipline and qualitative analysis of policies. My goals are to continue with research and take those findings to students and the academic community in an unbiased manner. For this purpose, I started my own website www.socialsciences.in to promote new knowledge in the social sciences and make it easily accessible to all. As an MA student at JNU, Delhi, I was always active, participating in seminars and workshops and presenting papers on subjects of political theory and political philosophy which continue to be my areas of expertise. I continued the same at the University of Hyderabad where I pursued my M.Phil. All through my student days, I have always been a debater and a quizzee. I won elocutions, debates and quizzes at the national level. At the Osmania University where I am currently employed, I have organized and participated in seminars. I have been the convener and coordinator of seminars and have converted the proceedings into books. I have also authored a book on Indian Politics titled Indian Politics in the 21st Century which, along with the aforementioned edited books, has come in for critical acclaim. I also went to the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad on lien in order to set up a School of Public Policy and Governance of which I was the Founding Chairman. I also helped in the design of curriculum for an MA in Public Policy and Governance, an MA in Rural Development and Governance, and the Political Science component of the BA course in Social Sciences. In 2012, I was chosen as a Visiting Fellow by the United States of America, State Department and visited universities such as the Harvard University at Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Yale University at New Haven, the Columbia University at New York, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the University of Connecticut at Storrs, and the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. In these Universities, I participated in seminars and discussion sessions on themes ranging from Indian and American politics to global politics. Since my return, I have continued to render my services when called upon by the American Consulate at Hyderabad. I am also now a resource guide for Fulbright scholars studying in India. I was also invited, in 2018, in my capacity as senior professor of the Osmania University, to meet the Consuls of Australia and Japan, on two separate occasions, to appraise them of the current political scenario in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in particular, and of the country in general. I am also a resource person to the various University Grants Commission (UGC) “ Human Resource Development Centers located in Osmania University, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyd, University of Hyderabad etc. This activity involves speaking to peers about the latest developments in the various areas of political science in particular, and social sciences in general. I have also been a resource person involved in the training of All-India Civil Service Probationers at the MCR-HRD Institute, Hyderabad. For the future, I aspire to continue with what I have been doing thus far and also to build on it to reach greater heights and leave an imprint in the academic community and also the general people at large.
